How To Use Tags in Notion
Because it’s THE missing feature
I’ve been testing many, many note-taking/productivity (/procrastination!) apps in the past few months.
Like an addict, I jumped on every new one to get my shot. Felt good.
But at some point, you don’t do much by going back and forth testing, and designing, just to get your dopamine high.
I’ve been using mostly Notion.
The missing piece of Notion
But I regularly become unsatisfied and re-explore other options. Like a rat trapped in a maze, running in an infinite loop without ever escaping.
One of the reasons why I am chronically unsatisfied is the lack of tags.
I mean, no tags, really?
There are so useful to organize information beyond the fixed structure of pages. And retrieve it quickly.
I still don’t know why it is not available. One of my other favorite apps is ClickUp and the document view is really nice. And tags are directly accessible.
But it is built around tasks and more designed for project management (better than Notion for that purpose by the way).
Thus I am back to Notion and thinking about how I could use tags.
